Role & Responsibilities
* Specify, purchase, design, qualify and handover effective manufacturing systems to Asset Teams ensuring plant modifications have credible delivery plans.
* Interface with internal/external technical experts and peers to maintain a broad knowledge of the technology and regulatory issues that impact on the biopharmaceutical businesses enabling technology options to be identified, evaluated, and compared.
* Agree and through effective reporting adhere to capital expenditure plans.
* Lead the transfer and scale up of new processes and technologies to the manufacturing plants ensuring requirements for EHS and cGMP compliance are delivered on-time. Effectively realise this through manufacturing records.
Qualifications and Experience
* Honours degree or higher qualification in Chemical Engineering (or equivalent), recognised by the IChemE.
* Chartered Process Engineer or working towards membership of IChemE.
* Technically competent in biological processes and science including understanding of USP and DSP unit operations.
* Experienced in Technology Transfer Leadership.
* Experience of identifying hazards and managing risks through assessment of processes and systems.
