Reports to the Financial Reporting Manager
The Real Assets team works closely with clients to support investments into the development and rental/sale of residential, senior residential and student accommodation, as well as commercial and retail space across the UK.
In this role, you will work within a small team of Accountants, assisting with the routine day-to-day accounting of fund structures under the direction of a Financial Reporting Manager.
What you'll be doing
1. Maintaining accurate accounting records, including the preparation of routine journal entries, inputting invoices and assisting with payment processing in Yardi, eFront or RealPage.
2. Developing an understanding of the clients and industry, supporting the team in providing bespoke reporting within agreed deadlines to meet client needs.
3. Responsibility for routine deliverables such as monthly and quarterly bank reconciliations, including sourcing supporting documentation to evidence transactions.
4. Working with a small team of accountants, assisting with the preparation of management accounts and financial statements under IFRS, UK GAAP and/or Lux GAAP.
5. Assisting with the completion of routine audit queries.
6. Assisting in the preparation of VAT returns.
What we're looking for
1. A relevant Degree or A-Levels are preferred.
2. Desire to study towards a relevant professional qualification such as ACA/ACCA (supported by the Aztec Group) is essential.
3. Proficient computer literacy skills and ability to learn new systems.
4. Confident and clear communication skills, both written and spoken.
5. Good problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
6. Ability to work to deadlines and balance study alongside work.
7. A collaborative team player with a proactive approach.
