We are recruiting for a Highways Framework Manager to join, support and lead the collaboration of our portfolio of works including M25, National Highways and other bespoke contracts. This role will be operational from our Snodland offices, working with Highways teams across our projects in the London and South East region. You will be Tarmac’s single point of contact with our clients and be required to manage and facilitate collaboration across the operational regional areas and be in liaison with stakeholders across the wider CRH and Tarmac portfolio business. Main Responsibilities Reporting directly to the Regional Contracting Director, the Highways Framework Manager will drive exceptional service delivery for key clients, promoting a collaborative and lean approach to framework performance. Travel across the region will be a requirement of the role. Responsibilities of the role (not exhaustive): Collaborating and communicating with our clients, Framework contractors and supply chain partners, championing a one team approach Monitoring, reviewing and challenging framework performance against the contracts Collating and reporting on central reports for our clients, including but not limited to Inclusion Action Plan, Quality Plan, Health and Safety Maturity Matrix and Customer Action Plan Supporting our clients to meet the overall programme and high-level objectives, KPI’s and Carbon commitments Cultivating innovation, drawing upon the technical expertise within the wider business to offer value for money solutions, ensuring high quality pavement delivery Promoting inclusion and diversity, leading on social values across the portfolio Co-ordinating delivery of tender commitments, ensuring we deliver the level of service promised to our clients at tender Take ultimate responsibility for the timely and efficient mobilisation of our service on each Highway and Motorway Framework Working with Contracting personnel and supporting functions, ensuring Tarmac presence on working groups and forums Leading teams on steps to drive efficiencies, introducing innovation and continuing to be a leader in our industry within the market Leading industry forums on a range of topics related to road maintenance and construction The Ideal Candidate To be successful in this role of Highways Framework Manager, the ideal candidate will have experience in a similar position within the Highways or major projects sector with an emphasis on road surfacing and asphalt. You will also be able to demonstrate proven experience working within a global company or a similar environment as well as possess exemplary management, leadership, and communication skills. It is desirable for any prospective candidates to have previous experience working with NEC forms of contract and it will be favourable if you have a background working in contracting or materials such as asphalt. Specific Requirements: ESSENTIAL – Demonstratable experience working at this level interfacing with clients and contractors for Highways and Motorways ESSENTIAL - Full UK car driving licence – no more than 6 points Highly analytical Outstanding verbal and written communication skills Largely qualified by experience relating to industry standards and/or possess good Higher Education Achievement (HND/HNC Level) Have a flexible approach to location in accordance with needs of the business The role is easily commutable from locations within a 40 mile radius of the M25.
