Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Warehouse Worker to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation of our warehouse by handling materials, managing stock, and supporting shipping and receiving processes. This position requires physical stamina and a keen attention to detail to maintain our high standards of service.
Responsibilities
1. Perform materials handling tasks including loading and unloading goods from lorries.
2. Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to move products within the warehouse.
3. Assist in shipping and receiving activities, ensuring accurate documentation and inventory control.
4. Build and stock shelves with products, maintaining an organised warehouse environment.
5. Utilise a Warehouse Management System (WMS) to track inventory levels and assist with order fulfilment.
6. Conduct regular checks on stock levels and report any discrepancies.
7. Maintain cleanliness and safety standards within the warehouse at all times.
Experience
1. Previous experience in a warehouse environment is preferred but not essential.
2. Familiarity with materials handling equipment, including forklifts, is advantageous.
3. Experience with shipping and receiving processes will be beneficial.
4. Knowledge of AS400 or similar inventory management systems is a plus.
5. Ability to perform heavy lifting as required, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
