We’re delighted to be working on behalf of one of the UK’s leading suppliers of materials to the construction industry.
The role
You will be responsible for providing a robust administration support function and delivering exceptional customer service.
* Daily input of sales orders and delivery notes on the in-house system
* Preparing orders and delivery dockets for the warehouse
* Confidently answering the telephone and managing enquiries to develop relationships and maximise sales opportunities
* Monitoring emails and ensuring enquiries are responded to in a timely manner to maximise business opportunities
* Booking parcels and pallets onto the transporters logistic system
* Acknowledging customer orders, confirming their despatch and monitoring delivery
* Keeping customers updated on stock availability and maintaining system for back orders
* Liaising with pallet and parcel companies about delivery queries/problems
* Sending Proof of Delivery (PODs) when asked by customer
* Invoicing customers and checking paperwork
Preferred Skills & Experience
* Excellent administration and customer service skills
* Strong communication skills and confidence in talking over the phone
* The ability to use initiative and work effectively to deadlines
* Attention to detail and ability to follow processes
* Knowledge of construction and building products (desirable)
