About the Role:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Electronics Engineer to join a dynamic design team based in Sheffield. Our client has built an outstanding reputation for delivering high-quality, reliable electronic products to a global customer base.
The ideal candidate will be degree-qualified and possess strong industry experience in electronics design. Your expertise will include analogue and digital circuit design, low-power designs (such as SMPS and DC-DC converters), and PCB layout. Experience with EMC safety standards or motor drives is highly desirable.
In this role, you will have ample opportunity to contribute to the development of new products, so prior experience across the entire product lifecycle is essential. As part of a small, collaborative team in Sheffield, you will have exposure to a wide variety of tasks, with encouragement to develop new skills in both electronics and software.
Key Responsibilities:
* Design and develop analogue and digital circuits.
* Work on lower power designs, including DC-DC converters and SMPS.
* Design and layout PCBs for new product developments.
* Contribute to the full product development lifecycle, from concept to production.
* Collaborate with a small team and engage in continuous learning and skill development.
Skills and Experience Required:
* Experience in analogue and digital circuit design.
* Expertise in lower power design, including DC-DC converters and SMPS.
* Strong PCB layout and design skills.
Desirable Skills:
* Knowledge of EMC safety standards.
* A relevant degree in Electronics or a related field.
* Experience with motor drives or battery management.
