Up to £50,000 dependent on experience It’s an exciting time to join the Digital team here at AXA Health, with significant investment planned in all UK&I businesses to transform and deliver new digital services to our customers; and to streamline and automate our business processes. We're looking for an experienced Test Engineer to join our Engineering team, to help delivery of our digital roadmap, develop our people and capabilities, and support our engineering strategy to drive improvements across all teams. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a product-led operating model. In this model, all our teams align with value streams, which means that we have the necessary resources to take an idea from conception to completion with minimal handoffs. Our current focus is on developing our Single Digital Platform, which is based on Salesforce and involves a significant .NET estate, use of Azure services, and React frontend web applications. As a Test Engineer, you will learn about recent technology trends and be able to influence the organisation to make the right choices. You'll work at least 40% of your week away from home, moving to the majority of your working week from September 2025, this could mean working from your assigned local office or travelling for business purposes. Our local office locations include Leeds, Middlesbrough, Bristol, Tunbridge Wells, and Bournemouth. What you’ll be doing: You’ll work as part of an Agile delivery team, using your skills and experience to identify bugs early in the software development lifecycle (SDLC) Working closely with development teams to streamline handover times and focus on defining completion criteria You'll manage our automated test pipelines, constantly looking for ways to increase test reliability and optimise coverage You'll join our AXA Health Test Guild and be part of a community of fellow test professionals Due to the number of applications we expect to receive for this role, we reserve the right to close this advert earlier than the listed closing date to ensure we’re able to effectively manage interest. What you’ll bring: Experience in a testing automation role with expertise using test automation frameworks and tools to design and implement test automation suites Coding experience is essential with Javascript or Typescript advantageous Deep understanding of software testing principles, methodologies (Agile, Waterfall), and the software development lifecycle (SDLC) Experience with performance testing tools to evaluate system performance under various loads Extensive experience in manual testing approaches, whilst automation is crucial to our success, your expertise in effective manual testing methods will be required Strong understanding of how to test Salesforce will be beneficial, in addition to Web and API experience As a precondition of employment for this role, you must be eligible and authorised to work in the United Kingdom.
