Our client requires an experienced site manager to join their construction department and site manage residential projects. The hours are 37.5 per week, 8am – 4pm Monday to Friday, and there will not be any overtime required. The site manager will be responsible for the day-to-day planning, organizing, and management of all elements of the projects on site. The sites will be mainly within Wakefield and surrounding areas, and a permanent site manager will see these site locations change from time to time. Deliverables include:
1. Delivering operational plans and policies that provide a high-quality and cost-effective service.
2. Responsibility for controlling and working within the budget, which includes the daily management of all related assets ensuring effective implementation of procedures.
3. Ensuring that all teams are operating to perform and meet agreed targets.
4. Management and monitoring of the day-to-day performance of all projects, both site and office-based.
5. Planning and coordination of the works ensuring that information is effectively communicated to others within the company and sub-contractors.
6. Assisting in monitoring and reporting data for the financial results and performance.
7. Assisting in the development of a full training program in all technical disciplines which fulfills the team requirements and fully complies with all current regulations, codes of practice, and legislation.
8. Having a forward-thinking approach to challenge current ways of delivery in order to improve services and identify cost savings through improvement.
9. Managing performance to achieve targets, delivering appraisals for the team, and managing sickness and return to work interviews.
10. Assisting in the management of CDM and Health and Safety to ensure that safe working practices are maintained at all times.
SMSTS & CSCS are required for this role.
