My client, a growing team pioneering geothermal power development in the UK, is looking to recruit a full-time Power Plant Manager to join their expanding team.
This is an exciting opportunity to utilise prior skills and qualifications, with full support enabling successful team and operations management.
The position is contracted to work 37.5 hours a week; however, some flexibility is required to meet project needs.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Managing all Electrical, Mechanical and Administration activities required to ensure the efficient and uninterrupted running of the Power Plant.
2. Preparing daily and weekly production reports and other management information.
3. Understanding errors and malfunctions determined in the controls and undertaking action for resolution.
4. Creating and implementing work procedures and instructions.
5. Managing the need for consumables and spare parts for the power plant.
6. Ensuring the machinery and equipment are periodically maintained and repaired.
7. Implementation and supervision of occupational health and safety rules for all tasks and processes.
8. Management of electricity generation in accordance with regulations and standards.
9. Working collaboratively with all departments whilst managing the operations team.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
1. Degree within a suitable technical/engineering discipline.
2. Ability to read and interpret process, mechanical and electrical project drawings.
3. Experience in fault resolution and troubleshooting.
4. In-depth understanding and experience of Health & Safety and working within UK legislation.
5. Strong team player, with a high level of accuracy and good time management skills.
6. A full UK driving licence.
Those with experience in the field of Electricity Generation Facilities alongside a keen interest in renewable energy will be preferred applicants.
