Job Title: Working Foreman
Contract length: ongoing work
Type of work: Brickwork, blockwork, stone.
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled working foreman to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating the daily operations at job sites, ensuring that brickwork is completed efficiently and according to specifications. The working foreman will work closely with the project manager and lead a team of workers to deliver high-quality results on time.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and supervise a team of workers on-site
- Coordinate daily tasks and ensure adherence to project schedules
- Monitor progress and quality of work being performed
- Enforce safety regulations and maintain a safe work environment
- Communicate effectively with project manager, subcontractors, and team members
- Train new employees on job duties and safety protocols
- Troubleshoot any issues that may arise during construction projects
- Maintain inventory of materials and equipment needed for projects
Skills:
- Proven experience in managing and supervising teams
- Strong leadership abilities with excellent communication skills
- Knowledge of construction processes and techniques
- Ability to read drawings and understand project specifications
- Problem-solving skills and ability to make decisions under pressure
- Attention to detail and quality-oriented mindset
Experience:
- Bricklaying 10 yrs (preferred)
- Driving licence (mandatory)
- CSCS (mandatory)
- SSSTS (preferred)
References and a CV will be required and 5 years minimum experience as a Foreman is mandatory. Use of fieldwire an advantage
