We have a very exciting opportunity to recruit to a Band 4 role at our Gainsborough Community Mental Health Team. We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our fantastic community team within Gainsborough.
Gainsborough’s Adult Community Mental Health Service is a committed integrated service that strives to provide quality recovery-based support to people with severe and enduring mental health related difficulties.
Please refer to the Job Description & Competency Framework for Band 4 Psychological Intervention Facilitator (PIF).
1. Carry out relevant risk assessments and risk management with the multi-disciplinary team.
2. Engage calmly and with sensitivity and empathy to support service users in highly distressing or emotional circumstances.
3. Engage with and gather information from service users, relatives and patient records to develop a formulation.
4. To be a named professional for a caseload of service users supporting and monitoring their progress in treatment.
5. To set collaborative goals for intervention with service users.
6. To deliver specified wellbeing-focused psychologically-informed interventions, in line with best available evidence, under close supervision from a Wellbeing Practitioner, Clinical Psychologist or CBT Therapist including:
1. Behavioural activation
2. Graded exposure
3. Teaching problem-solving skills
4. Improving sleep
5. Recognising and managing emotions
6. Guided self-help for bulimia and binge-eating
7. Building confidence
8. Medication support
9. Relapse prevention
7. To be responsive to service users’ needs and choices; and uphold their right to be treated with dignity and respect.
8. To include carers and families in line with the service user’s wishes.
