Position: Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer
Location: Haverhill, Suffolk
Salary/Shifts: 4 on 4 off - Days £46-50K, commensurate with experience
Nicholas Associates Engineering have an excellent opportunity for a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer. Our client is a market leader, who can offer a progressive & rewarding career within the food production sector.
You will provide essential frontline reactive maintenance services to our site, swiftly identifying and addressing root causes to restore equipment to full operational status. You will also proactively seek and implement cost-effective improvements, to enhance the efficiency and reliability of site assets and equipment.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out Planned and Preventative Maintenance to agreed schedules.
Ensure effective handover of information across shift.
Use PMS to support prioritisation and problem solving to diagnose faults and to test, repair and maintain Mechanical/Electrical equipment.
Observe, recognise and report on machinery or component defects or symptoms of impending failure and provide CMMS data.
Contact OEM's and other suppliers for technical support as and when required and expedite parts when not available on site.
Lead shift-based problem solving where corrective actions are not clear.
Working as ONE TEAM with other site functions to deliver the service, RFT agenda on a day to day basis.
Identify Improvements and implement with support of line manager.
Identify life cycle issues and raise these with possible recommendations.
Use and support simple 5WHY OE techniques/RCA techniques through to 100-year fix.
Use and support departmental programmes for workshops and stores workplace management.
Continuous transfer of knowledge and best practice
Skills & Experience Required
At least 2 years experience:
To engineering based operational efficiency programmes.
In a similar role of supporting Site Strategy for Quality/HS/EMS/Engineering.
Of supporting improvement activities/events within facilities and engineering owned areas.
Of delivering on the job training to new colleagues Health and safety of self and others NVQ Level 3 qualification - Mechanical and/or Electrical Bias "Train the trainer" training
Ability to have own ideas and deliver these to improve the business Has played an active role in continuous improvement Piranna Systems Training (Desirable) Operational measures OEM Training / Site specific equipment training (Desirable) Generic HMI / SCADA/ Fieldbus/Drives & Instrumentation Desirable
