Housing Services Advisors assist with the provision of an excellent, customer-focused housing service in the Lettings team. The role has responsibility for dealing with enquiries from customers and the general public, regarding housing-related issues. It also includes providing general admin for both the Managers and Housing Officers. Being the first point of contact for customers, either at reception, over the phone or face to face requires you to accurately evaluate the nature of the customer enquiry whilst keeping the customer up to date at all times. This includes making optimum efforts to resolve each call, visit or query as efficiently and effectively as possible to completion, including any non-standard situations and where needed, sign posting the customer to the relevant team. The role will involves booking appointments, including sign-ups, visits, transfer inspections for the relevant Housing Officer within service standard timescales, completing references, checks and correspondence with relevant partners and updating computer systems, including creating new applications, offers and scanning documentation.
Therefore, you should be an excellent communicator, with experience of working in a customer-focused environment and be confident in dealing with people face-to-face and over the telephone in an empathetic manner.
