We are looking for an experienced Human Resources (HR) and Learning & Development (L&D) Project Officer to join our HR team and help deliver a fantastic HR service to our employees, managers and the wider organisation.

The role & our team
Reporting into the Head of HR the role of HR & L&D Project Officer will work closely with the wider HR team and will deliver and support a wide range of HR and L&D projects and initiatives. You will be responsible for creating and maintaining a training matrix and delivering any corporate training and L&D activities, solutions and continuous learning interventions. You will also be responsible for coordinating and commissioning any bespoke training requirements across the council.
You will be responsible for developing project plans, reports and documentation to support and source the delivery of L&D needs and HR projects. Responsibilities will also include leading on all project management activities and contributing to the entire project lifecycle and scoping of HR projects. Responsible for identifying project owners, monitoring project progress, identifying potential issues and implementing solutions and ensuring delivery.
The role will take direction from the Head of HR and directly support our People Strategy and will be required to collaborate and support on all projects and initiatives across the HR team. Your expertise will be instrumental in shaping a supportive and productive work environment.

As our new HR & L&D Project Officer, you will...
* Be CIPD Level 5 Diploma in organisational learning, equivalent relevant degree or significant experience in a similar role
* Have experience of working within a team environment
* Have proven track record of successfully leading projects or change change management initiatives within a HR context
* Be highly organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities
* Have the ability to work effectively under pressure to meet demanding and sometimes conflicting deadlines
* Have excellent interpersonal skills, which enable effective engagement and collaboration with colleagues and key stakeholders
* Create an energetic and exciting learning environment across the organisation and in partnership with key stakeholders to ensure we work towards improving knowledge, skills and behaviours
* Be competent in the use of an array of computer systems such as; Google G-Suite, Microsoft, HR systems.
* It is not essential but we would welcome applications from a Public Sector background as well as those who have worked in a fast paced, ever changing environment.
