The Resource Planner has the responsibility for the Resource Planning function for aircraft base/line maintenance inputs.
He/she is responsible for ensuring that all Resource Planning activities are concluded in a timely manner and priorities are clearly adhered to, to ensure the Resource demands for the maintenance inputs are planned and maintained.
Key Responsibilities
* Organise and plan the master Resource plan for the Production team to include direct, indirect, contractor and support departments.
* Manage the Capacity plan to ensure all planned maintenance inputs can be manned adequately to ensure regulatory compliance and TATs can be achieved in line with Commercial requirements.
* Review holiday, TOIL, Training and additional hours requests and approve/deny based on planned capacity vs. availability.
* Overcoming resource shortages by means of resource management techniques, reallocating resources, assigning more staff, etc.; liaising with contracted recruitment agencies to rectify shortfalls and informing senior management of any issues.
* Maintain and attend daily manpower meetings with Production Management to plan upcoming manpower requirements throughout the facility.
* Working with the Production and Planning Management teams perform forecast resource requirements to enable budgets, skillsets and plans to be agreed and achieved.
* Review and analyse data to make recommendations on the most appropriate resource levels, recruitment levels and TOIL requirements.
* Liaise with Commercial and Planning to establish long term resource requirements.
* Production of data and reports to enable Senior Management to assess future Business needs.

* Good all round knowledge of relevant IT systems and proficient in MS Office applications (specifically Excel & Word).
* Willingness to embrace change and to drive improvements within the business.
* Ambitious, agile, and honest individual committed to teamwork and excellence.
* Fluent in English (written & spoken).
Ability to live and work in the UK.
