The successful candidate will have: Understanding of the needs of children with Autism Spectrum Condition Experience of a range of ways of communicating with children who are non-verbal or are in the early stages of language development Experience of planning and delivering learning activities Uncompromisingly high expectations of themselves and all children and be able to engage children in fun and interesting ways Knowledge of child protection and safeguarding Understanding of the behavioural needs of children with ASC and how to adapt and deliver support to meet individual needs Strong interpersonal skills A positive ‘can do’ attitude and nurturing nature Hold Level 2 qualifications as a minimum.
