About Our Client
Our client is a well known international law firm, they are looking for an ambitious Employment Associate to join their Manchester team. Our client is looking for a technically excellent junior to mid-level employment lawyer who is ambitious and keen to be involved in a mix of general advisory work, employment related litigation (respondent work) and transactional employment law matters (in particular, the employment aspects of M&A transactions).
You will be given plenty of client responsibility and exposure but at the same time be part of a supportive team environment.
Job Description
As an Employment Associate your duties will include:
* Providing legal advice to a broad range of clients, from company owners and managers, HR professionals and in-house lawyers, to private sector organisations, as well as senior employees and executives, on a range of employment matters.
* Managing a good mix of contentious and non-contentious employment matters.
* Undertake all aspects of employment law including drafting various employment documents, maternity and paternity rights, discrimination, whistleblowing, employee relations issues, disciplinary matters and grievances, mediation, dismissals, redundancy, TUPE and employment tribunal claims.
* Transactional support.
* Build and maintain client relationships.
* Contribute to business development.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Employment Associate should have between 4-8 PQE in employment law. Please note that the level of experience identified in this advert is a guide only and does not preclude candidates with more or less PQE from applying.
