We have an exciting opportunity for a Mental Health Clinical Lead to join our Primary Care team at HMP Ford, a category D men's prison located in Ford.
Hours
hours per week, Monday-Friday 8am -4pm
Salary
£42,000-47000 per annum
This position is full time, youll receive an annual salary up to £47,000per annum FTE - depending on experience.

Main duties of the job
As a Mental Health Clinical Lead, your responsibilities will vary. You will
1. Based on the Wellbeing Approach and Practice Plus mental Health policy, provide nursing triage and screening and assessment.
2. Health advise
3. Actively participate with the development of local operating procedures to ensure pathways are clear for clinicians
4. Ensuring all complaints / concerns relating to Mental Health are dealt with in a timely fashion.
5. Nurse lead treatment or care within mental health
6. Confirm waiting list are well managed ensuring minimal waiting times for patients
7. Medicines management/advice including supporting medicine administration
8. Set standards for care by implementing protocols and establishing health education activities.
9. Maintain accurate documentation of assessment, planning and treatment of patients.
10. Manage and provide clinical supervision to the team
11. Manage and run a variety of meetings ensuring engagement from other departments

Qualifications required
19. Registered Mental Health Nurse (Currently registered with the Nursing & Midwifery Council)
20. BSc or equivalent qualification
21. Experience of providing supervision
22. Teaching / Mentoring experience and /or qualification
23. Evidence of appropriate continuing professional development activity to maintain up-to-date knowledge and on-going competence in all aspects of the role
