We are seeking a passionate Religious Studies Teacher to join their team and inspire students to think critically about religion, philosophy, and ethics. This role begins April 2025.
Duties of a Religious Studies Teacher:
* Plan and deliver high-quality lessons in Religious Studies, in line with the National Curriculum.
* Encourage critical thinking, debate, and discussion on religious, philosophical, and ethical topics.
* Foster an inclusive classroom environment where students feel valued and respected.
* Assess, monitor, and track pupil progress, providing feedback and targeted support.
* Work collaboratively with colleagues to develop and enhance the Religious Studies curriculum.
* Contribute to the wider school community through assemblies, events, and extracurricular activities.
Ideal Religious Studies Teacher:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a degree in Religious Studies, Theology, or a related subject.
* Experience teaching Religious Studies at Key Stage 3 and 4 (and Key Stage 5, if applicable).
* A passion for religious education and a commitment to promoting diversity and understanding.
* Strong communication skills and the ability to engage and inspire students.
* A reflective and adaptable approach to teaching and learning.
