Job summary We have an exciting opportunity to join our friendly and motivated Dermatology admin team based at Waters Green Medical Centre in Macclesfield. We are looking for an experienced Medical Secretary who will be working with our dedicated team of Consultants, Nurse specialist and other clinical team members. We are keen to hear from applicants who can demonstrate their organisational skills and who can work on their own initiative. Main duties of the job You will be responsible for a wide range of medical secretarial and admin duties and will provide administration support for the clinical team which includes medical audio typing, diary management and monitoring of Departmental/Trust targets including Letter turnaround times and RTT in this supervisory role. You will also be able to cope with interruptions whilst in periods of concentration and able to manage conflicting priorities. We are looking for candidates with: Evidence of good communication skills both verbal and non-verbal. Excellent administrative and IT skills. Audio typing experience to a high standard. An understanding of Medical Terminology. Main duties of the job include but are not exhaustive Completing tasks and emails. Dealing with patient calls and emails and liaising with medical professionals. preparing bags/documentations for sample collections. supporting with MDT prep. actioning urgent cancer referrals.
