We are looking for Quality Engineers to join our Quality team at Woodward, Prestwick. This position reports directly to the Quality Leader and is responsible for providing customer and organizational support for quality & regulatory requirements, compliance, and system and process improvements. This position coordinates root cause and corrective action for the site and will performs quality related activities associated with the nonconforming material control process. The role is proactive in identifying and driving resolution to systemic issues and proposes performance improvements. They will evaluate procedures and work instructions, manage and approve documents that are required per the Quality Management System. Facilitates and represents Quality during inte rnal/external audits. Able to manage multiple tasks with varying priorities in a fast-paced work environment. • Demonstrates ability to effectively work in cross-functional teams, as a team member or lead, and work with various levels within the organization and with customers. • Demonstrates an understanding of interpretation of engineering specifications, mechanical drawings, and/or electrical schematics, and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T). • Demonstrates knowledge of ISO9001, AS9100 and TS16949 (site specific) requirements and their intent to ensure compliance of the Quality Management System. • Is familiar with regulatory and compliance requirements.(EASA, CAAC, etc.) • Demonstrates a basic knowledge of Six Sigma principles, tools and methodology, and advocates utilization throughout the organization. • Knowledge of non-conforming material control and material disposition processes. • Ability to drive and implement activities to meet customer quality expectations. Recognizes customer service as a critical factor. Handles customers politely and professionally. Qualifications/Experience • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in quality, engineering, machine shop, assembly or functional testing related experience. • HND/HNC in Engineering or a Business-related subject, or an aircraft technician or engineer qualification with suitable additional education. • Demonstrates solid computer skills including MS Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power Point. • Knowledge in the application of aviation safety standards and safe operating practices. Salary will be determined by the applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
