An exciting opportunity has arisen to support and develop our Clinical Research service at ESHT. Our service delivers academic and commercial national and international clinical research trials as part of the NIHR South East Clinical Research Network.
We are looking for a Registered Nurse or Clinical Trials Practitioner who is interested in developing a clinical research career. The post holder will be enthusiastic, dynamic and forward thinking with excellent communication skills who is able to engage and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders to increase clinical trial activity within ESHT. The postholder will be supported to gain research knowledge and skills if they do not possess previous research experience and will be expected to work proactively and autonomously within their role once they have developed research delivery knowledge.
As a Clinical Research Nurse/Practitioner, you will assist in the provision and ongoing development of a comprehensive specialist clinical research service for patients and their relatives and support with clinical trial participation and safe delivery of all clinical trial care.
Informal visits are encouraged and welcomed.
Main duties of the job:
• Regular attendance at research meetings.
• Liaison with key people involved in the study including research team members, clinicians and AHP’s, and Clinical Trial Units.
• Opening and delivery of academic and commercial national and international clinical research studies which are HRA (Health Research Authority) approved to be delivered at ESHT.
• Screening, recruitment and assessment of potential participants and consenting under supervision of research team members or clinicians.
• Supporting study participants during their participation in the study
• Data collection
• Data entry
• Trial Site File Maintenance
• Adherence to ICH GCP
• Supporting Band 4 Clinical Research Practitioners with study activities
• Please note that this post does not require quantitative or qualitative data analysis.
