Overview
We’re searching for a Senior Associate of Human Resources who loves to succeed in an environment fueled by creativity, innovation and continuous evolution. They would be the “go to” person in supporting our culture, employees, and capabilities within the Birmingham office. This Senior Associate will be focused on continuous improvement of their craft. They should always think about ways to make our work better and support our employees in their pursuit of the best work in the industry.
Core responsibilities include:
* Lead HR-driven programs that will result in positive change for our culture and individual employee opportunity/growth.
* Partner with national HR team to execute ad hoc projects to promote a high performance culture.
* Own the on-boarding of new hires, which includes but is not limited to orientation presentation, updates and improvements to the on-boarding program.
* Oversee day-to-day administration and routine maintenance of assigned HR programs/HRIS systems, such as leave of absence, HRIS updates, performance management system changes, T&E and Ad Hoc reports.
* Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees and ensuring regulatory compliance. Actively comply with our internal HR policy guidelines.
* Respond to all employee questions and concerns in a timely and thorough manner.
* Partner with managers to ensure we are engaging and retaining top talent.
* Partner with centralized benefits and payroll to communicate programs and policy changes.
* Help educate and encourage managers to support the value of our diversity and inclusion initiatives.
Qualifications
* Four year degree (Major in human resources desirable).
* 2-3 years human resources experience.
* Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
* High degree of focus on corporate business/culture needs, customer satisfaction and quality orientation.
* Ability to collaborate across capabilities as well as within the People Team function.
* Excellent interpersonal/networking/relationship-building skills.
* Excellent negotiation and problem-solving skills.
* Team oriented.
* Strong understanding of HR, legal and labor issues.
* Solid understanding of performance management and compensation principles.
* Excellent oral and written communication skills, detail oriented.
* Proficiency in MS Office.
* Participates as a collaborative team player within the HR team.
* Reaches out openly to share and leverage learning.
* Maintains enthusiastic attitude that communicates energy and engagement.
* Represents Digitas appropriately with clients, community, personal network.
* Adheres to Digitas policies including all documentation related to HR processes.
