Welsh Speaking 1:1 Teaching Assistant Vale of Glamorgan £425 per week About the role We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a KS2 aged pupil with ASD in their learning through the medium of Welsh. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of ASD and ALN, excellent communication skills, and a passion for supporting students to reach their full potential in a Welsh-speaking environment. About the school The Teaching Assistant role is based in a lively and stimulating pupil-centred school in the Vale of Glamorgan. The school caters for pupils with a range of additional learning needs, this would include ADHD, ASD, PMLD and SEMH. Assignment Details As a 1:1 Teaching Assistant, you will be required to provide tailored support, adapting learning activities to suit their individual needs. You must collaborate with teaching staff to track and support pupil progress and promote independence and self-confidence in the pupil’s learning. Person Specification Welsh Speaking essential Knowledge and understanding of ASD and ALN. Experience working as a Teaching Assistant Must be 19 or over. Must have UK school-based experience.
