An exciting opportunity has arisen for a leadership position within our newly established Inclusion Support Services. The Engagement Service Lead will lead and manage our brand-new Engagement Service.
The Engagement Service will support schools and settings to develop and deliver alternative timetables and curriculum activities focused on engaging children and young people who need re-engaging with education and learning. All of the programmes will be developed in partnership with schools and settings and with other agencies and services to ensure a holistic and sustainable approach to the inclusion of our most vulnerable children and young people. The team will consist of a number of staff who have skills and experience in delivering nurture, positive play and sports and outdoor recreational education. The basis of all of the interventions and support will be on developing positive, trusting relationships to enable engagement and enthusiasm to grow in a safe, predictable and engaging environment.
This unique opportunity will give the post holder a genuine ability to make an incredibly positive difference to the lives of some of Derbyshire’s most vulnerable learners. If you are passionate about inclusion and have the ability to be creative, reflective and flexible in your approaches, this opportunity could be the ideal opportunity for you.
