Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled Architectural Technician to join our clients busy team in Motherwell.
The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting our new build housing development projects from inception to completion, ensuring high standards of design, technical detailing, and compliance with building regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Technical Drawings: Prepare detailed architectural drawings using AutoCAD, Revit, or other relevant software. - Design Development: Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to develop design concepts and translate them into workable construction plans. - Project Coordination: Assist in the coordination of project activities, including liaising with contractors, suppliers, and regulatory authorities. - Building Regulations: Ensure all designs comply with current building regulations and standards. - Site Visits: Conduct site visits to monitor progress, assess compliance with design specifications, and resolve any on-site issues. - Documentation: Prepare and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including specifications, schedules, and reports. - Client Liaison: Communicate effectively with clients to understand their requirements and provide regular updates on project status.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Education: Diploma or degree in Architectural Technology or a related field. - Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience within an architectural practice, with a focus on new build housing developments, local authority or private housing developer. - Technical Skills: Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and other architectural design software. - Knowledge: Strong understanding of UK building regulations, construction methods, and materials. - Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. - Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. - Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail. - Team Player: Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
