The Role
As a Teaching Assistant you will support the educational, social, and emotional development of our students. Your responsibilities will include:
Supporting the class teacher in delivering lessons and activities tailored to the needs of students.
Providing one-to-one and small group support to help students engage in learning.
Assisting with the implementation of Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs).
Promoting positive behavior and emotional regulation using agreed strategies.
Helping to create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment.
Supporting students with personal care, where necessary, in a dignified and respectful manner.
Monitoring and recording student progress, contributing to reports and feedback for teachers and families

Skills and Qualifications
What We’re Looking For
Experience working with children, ideally in a SEND or educational setting (desirable but not essential).
A passion for supporting children with ASC and SEMH needs.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships.
Patience, empathy, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
Relevant qualifications, such as Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant (desirable but not essential).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
