* Location: ONSITE, not hybrid; this role requires a highly visible senior engineering leader on a large complex manufacturing site.
Reporting to the UK Group Head of Engineering, with a dotted line into the Site Supply Director, you will be the Site Engineering Excellence & Change Manager for a large site with multiple manufacturing plants.
This role offers a genuine opportunity to lead engineering change, reliability, and process utilities on-site, progressing your career within a growing, progressive manufacturing business.
Key responsibilities include:
* Leading the engineering technical change agenda for the site, including all maintenance activities to improve line performance using World Class Manufacturing (WCM) principles – TPM.
* Driving engineering performance improvements, leading projects, managing multi-million-pound budgets, and striving for world-class engineering & maintenance excellence.
* Setting the engineering strategy and maximizing production through maintenance of site assets.
Key Responsibilities:
* Ensure engineering resources (people/headcount) and technical skill set are maximized.
* Develop autonomous maintenance programs as a subject matter expert in maintenance systems.
* Support and lead organizational change programs through continuous improvement and reengineering.
* Collaborate with factory management to optimize and improve the productive capacity of the plant.
* Create, implement, and manage the engineering maintenance strategy.
* Monitor operational efficiency of all plant and equipment, identifying areas of underperformance and implementing plans for improvement.
* Develop engineering skills through a structured people development program.
* Integrate engineers and line operators into a cohesive team, maximizing the engineering structure through autonomous maintenance techniques.
Qualifications and Requirements:
* Experience in delivering major cultural and leadership changes with a flexible, lean-oriented approach.
* Experience in leading technical frontline maintenance, services, and project teams.
* Track record of using advanced manufacturing techniques (e.g., WCM/TPM/Lean).
* HNC/HND in an engineering discipline minimum.
* Background in engineering management within a time-sensitive, 24/7 complex manufacturing environment.
* A confident leader, decision maker, and influencer.
* Proven track record of delivering continuous improvement and engineering performance.
* Strategic influencer and leader with the potential to develop into more senior roles in the UK functions.
