Idex Consulting are working with an award winning Financial Planning firm, are looking for a Senior Wealth Planner for the Edinburgh Office.
You will work alongside a Chartered Financial Planner and a junior Financial Planner and be there for advice and support, especially for the junior planner.
You will work with the senior leadership team to help shape the office and be part of major decisions.
You will be able to manage an existing book of clients while also developing further business alongside professional connections.
You will act as a mentor to the less experienced members of the team and assist with their ongoing development.
There is a client bank of 70 clients to inherit with a recurring revenue in the region of £240k
You will be supported by a team of excellent administrators and paraplanners
Responsibilities
In addition to senior responsibilities such as working with the management team as an adviser your role typically would be to:
* contact clients and set up meetings, either within an office environment or in clients' homes or business premises
* conduct in-depth reviews of clients' financial circumstances, current provision and future aims
* analyse information and prepare plans best suited to individual clients' requirements
* complete risk analyses
* research the marketplace and provide clients with information on new and existing products and services
* design financial strategies
* assist clients to make informed decisions
* research information from various sources, including providers of financial products
* review and respond to clients changing needs and financial circumstances
* promote and sell financial products to meet given or negotiated sales targets
* negotiate with product suppliers for the best possible rates
* liaise with head office and financial services providers
* keep up to date with financial products and legislation
* contact clients with news of new financial products or changes to legislation that may affect their savings and investments
* meet the regulatory aspects of the role, e.g. requirements for disclosure, costs of the services provided and also the advised products.
* You will meet with clients on a regular basis and provide them with a high level of service while conducting meetings in line with company expectations.
* You will plan, work towards, and generate a pipeline that sufficiently meets your pre-agreed business targets.
