As part of the Endeavor Schools Family, Mission Montessori School is seeking a dedicated and experienced Head of School (School Leader) to provide day-to-day leadership to the school with ages ranging from Infant to Elementary-aged learners. We are looking for a passionate leader, who is hungry to learn and ready to collaborate with a strong and amazing team of educators.
The primary objectives of the Head of School are to inspire positive community interactions, ensure quality care and education of all children, and foster and develop the educational environments and staff. The Head of School will facilitate the implementation of the Montessori pedagogy in a safe, healthy, and nurturing classroom environment that supports each child’s social, emotional, and intellectual growth and development, as well as create a family-focused environment that encourages our school community’s growth.
Core Competencies:
1. Lead and inspire a team of educators, ensuring a collaborative and nurturing environment.
2. Grow and maintain enrollment through strategic marketing, community outreach, and family engagement.
3. Oversee daily operations, ensuring compliance with Montessori principles, licensing requirements, and quality standards.
4. Develop and implement business strategies that align with the school’s financial goals while maintaining high-quality educational programs.
5. Build strong partnerships with families, fostering a welcoming and inclusive school culture.
6. Represent the school as an ambassador and advocate, enhancing its reputation in the community.
Experience and Education:
1. Director-qualified in accordance with California regulations, including completion of 12 ECE units (with Infant/Toddler coursework) and supervision units.
2. Extensive experience in early childhood education required and experience with the Montessori philosophy preferred.
3. Strong business acumen with the ability to grow enrollment, manage budgets, and drive profitability.
4. Proven leadership skills with a track record of building and supporting high-performing teams.
5. Excellent communication and public relations abilities, serving as the face of the school and fostering meaningful connections with families and the community.
6. A growth-oriented mindset, able to effectively convey the value of the school and drive enrollment through strong marketing and outreach efforts.
7. Dependable and stable, demonstrating sound judgment, reliability, and professionalism in all aspects of school management.
