Augusta Care is seeking a Head of Operations to join it's team, to oversee the strategic and operational management of a diverse portfolio of services, including Children’s Services, Adult Learning Disabilities Services, and Respite Care. Responsibilities to encompass the management of multiple teams, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care across all service areas, and driving business growth through effective project management and new business mobilisation.

Principal Responsibilities
Provide effective leadership and promote a positive culture which develops high performing, consistent and collaborative operational teams.
To manage, support, develop and shape our Registered Service Managers and their Team Leaders to ensure the people we support are living fulfilled and meaningful lives.
To work closely with other central support team members to continuously improve the quality of Augusta Care’s support, ensuring the outcomes and impact of our work.
To contribute to long-term strategic planning for Augusta Care and relate on-going advice to the Board of Directors. To contribute to the development of Augusta Care development plan.
To work with Registered Service Managers and external stakeholders to identify and actively pursue growth opportunities in line with Augusta Care’s business model and development plan objectives.
To contribute to the Senior Management team at Augusta Care, and work with the Board of Directors to ensure that person-centred practices are embedded throughout the organisation.
To continually review Augusta Care’s operating structure and business model to ensure it is fit-for-purpose.
To ensure that Augusta Care builds a positive health and safety culture by embedding good practice at all levels of the organisation, working with the Registered Service Managers.
Act as senior point of contact with Local Authorities, health professionals and other stakeholders, building and maintaining strong positive relationships.
Develop, improve and implement operational policy and processes to effectively manage resources, support we provide and staff.
Identify areas of innovation and improvement across our Operational Teams incorporating best practice and changing trends. Work with the Registered Service Managers and Senior Management Team to support organisational learning and response when things go wrong.
Collaborate with other departments to streamline operations and enhance contract compliance.
Stay updated with changes in legislation and regulatory landscape affecting social care and implement accordingly.
Work with Registered Service Managers on building a robust, excellent and values-led staff - focusing on developing and retaining staff and ensuring good operational involvement in recruitment and placement.
Provide the operational oversight of plans to reduce and keep agency staff to a minimum.
To be the Nominated Individual for CQC.
To act as Safeguarding Lead for Augusta Care.
Be part of the on-call team on a rota basis.
Ensure that systems are in place to predict, reduce, prevent and manage risk
Ensure the safe and sensitive management of complaints, incidents, crises and unanticipated significant events.
To produce reports and statistics on aspects of service user care, e.g. service user activity, staffing, procedures, as required for the Board of Directors, to demonstrate the effectiveness of service delivery and improvements in those services.
To provide and embed strong leadership in care and support services.
To ensure teams embed quality assurance in everyday practice in all roles
Person Specification
Experience:
At least three years in a senior Leadership role within a person-centred, social care setting.
Strong understanding of CQC and regulated activity.
Significant staff management experience in a support work setting.
Setting strategic direction and delivery.
Evidence of leading and shaping organisational culture.
Qualifications:
Minimum NVQ Leader in Adult care Level 5 or equivalent.
A qualification in leadership or management (or suitably skilled by experience)
