About the role
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Pricing Development team, responsible for Demand Modelling and Pricing Innovation, offering the prospect of joining an innovative and inclusive team who share common goals and a collective purpose of giving our members exactly what they want at a fair price.
You’ll bring your advanced modelling skills and ability to apply a range of pricing modelling techniques, ideally via writing code in R and using WTW Radar software.
In this role you’ll provide a lead in the development, implementation and testing of general insurance demand and competitor models to ensure effective market understanding and to maintain market par capability. This role gives the opportunity for both hands-on individual work and collaboration with others. You’ll benefit from early and increasing involvement in innovative projects, and with access to senior management and leadership teams, you’ll have ample scope and plenty of opportunity to make your mark. Over time, we’ll expect you to grow to be a subject matter expert, able to guide others in best practice and manage a small team.

About you
Able to motivate and improve the performance of those around you, you’re an accomplished Pricing Modelling specialist who’s used to challenging yourself and others to achieve higher levels of quality and output to gain greater results. Ideally with general insurance background in either personal or commercial lines, as well as detailed and up to date knowledge of ‘pricing best practice’, you have:
* Proven experience of working in a Pricing team, with personal accountability for the technical development of modelling
* Direct involvement in building pricing models, including specific responsibility for the end-to-end design of the model build, whether GLMs/GBMs or Machine Learning methods
* Expert product knowledge for the market sector you’re operating in and a proven ability to conduct peer reviews.
