We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join our UKPN Alliance and play a pivotal role in achieving our vision of delivering smarter, greener infrastructure brilliantly.
You will assist in the management of commercial responsibilities on the Energy Alliance in order to maximise profit and control costs.
Here are some of the activities that you’ll get involved in:
1. Generating and reporting weekly revenue and cost reports
2. Controlling submissions of daily completed jobs
3. Working knowledge of Schedule of Rates
4. Support the authorisation and submission of project variations to authorise the placement of contracts, subcontracts, material and plant orders
5. Liaising with Operations & Planning to monitor job progress and scope changes
6. Assist management with the subcontractor supply chain, including setting up, final accounts, applications etc.

Excellent stakeholder management, proactivity and accountability are all pre-requisites for this role, as is being an excellent communicator and problem solver.
You will be using Excel regularly, so it is essential that you know all about formulas, pivot tables and VLOOKUP’s.
Ideally you will already have quantity surveying experience and worked on projects from start to finish, with a demonstrable understanding of framework agreements.
