The purpose of the role is to provide quantity surveying support to our clients' infrastructure procurements and the associated costing activities. The role will require ongoing interaction with the Commercial team with an emphasis on working closely with the Project Manager to maintain an understanding of the schedule and payment applications. Support in the delivery of periodic performance reporting.
Responsibilities
1. Support Commercial and project teams in the review, challenge, and assurance of contractor CE quotations.
2. Attend Programme and Commercial meetings to provide a summary of contract management metrics.
3. Preparing recommendations for the release of any retention funds held.
4. Preparing recommendations for payment notices, pay less notices, and other similar notices of default.
5. Advising on the Subcontractor’s entitlement to extension of time.
6. Preparing recommendations for Subcontractor’s payment of liquidated damages.
We Need
1. Experience of delivering quantity surveying activities for complex programmes/projects.
2. Experience in delivering NEC 4 contracting processes and activities.
3. Experience in the use of CEMAR.
4. Experience in stakeholder engagement throughout programme/project delivery.
Location
This position will be 3 days in the office (Glasgow) and 2 days WFH.
Qualifications
Degree in Cost or Commercial disciplines or equivalent qualification and experience.
Security Requirements
You must have, or be eligible for, SC clearance.
