DELIVERY COORDINATOR
Delivery Coordinator needed for one of the UK's leading manufacturers of flat and pitched roof lights, selling direct to both trade and consumers.
The Delivery Coordinator role will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of our scheduling and deliveries. The role must make certain that all orders are both scheduled within agreed timescales and delivered by the drivers correctly on a daily basis.
Duties and responsibilities of the Delivery Coordinator include:
* Schedule deliveries according to routes
* Assign each driver to delivery daily delivery runs
* Liaise with customers to schedule their delivery date and confirm their order information
* Update customers with their delivery confirmation the day before and on the day
* Ensure all dispatch paperwork is completed and correctly filed and validation of deliveries are processed
* Liaise with the customer to advise any issue with production that may affect delivery slots.
* Work closely with the Factory Manager to ensure goods out/returns are monitored, managed, and reported
* Track the status of product deliveries and resolve any driver or customer issues promptly
* Liaise with third party suppliers to ensure packaging required is scheduled and suitable for transport (such as International shipping, pallets, and stillages)
* Organise hotel and transport hire for drivers when required
* Weekly reporting of delivery figures
* Providing world-class customer service via phone, e-mail, and other communication channels
* Carry out any other duties that may be required by management
Pay Rate:
£27,000 - £28,000 per annum + Performance Bonus
Skills need:
* Good interpersonal and communication skills, dealing with both customers and internal teams
* High level of IT proficiency - experience of Word/ Excel
* High standard of written & verbal English
* Good organisational skills & time management
* Eye for detail
* Ability to work to deadlines
* Team player
* Ability to multi-task and work in a dynamic environment/adjust to change quickly
* Strong sense of urgency, follow up and attention to detail
* Previous scheduling and geographic routing experience an advantage
