Main Duties and Responsibilities:
1. To provide general administrative and clerical support where necessary, as requested by the Meals on Wheels Co-Ordinator and the management team.
2. To answer the telephone, screen and direct calls as appropriate.
3. To take and relay messages efficiently.
4. To greet visitors, put them at ease and direct them as appropriate.
5. To deal with queries from the public and service users and provide information to callers.
6. To be impartial and treat service users in a way which is non-judgmental and without bias.
7. To ensure knowledge of staff movements in and out of the Centre, especially managers and drivers.
8. To monitor visitor access and maintain security awareness and fire safety.
9. To undertake mandatory training necessary.
10. Maintain and update company database (Evide).
11. Update office policies as needed.
12. To contribute to the maintenance of a safe working environment.
Qualifications:
* Maths grade A-C
* English grade A-C
Experience:
* Working knowledge and experience of all Microsoft Office packages.
* Working knowledge and experience of Administration/Reception duties.
Skills / Abilities:
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Excellent IT skills, proficiency in MS packages particularly Word and Excel.
* Ability to work on own initiative.
* Ability to work independently and also in a team.
* Ability to prioritise tasks under pressure and complete projects within specified deadlines.
* Ability to observe high degree of confidentiality.
Job Type: Part-time
