Production Support will be responsible for: To provide on-going support to the activities within the facility in order that production continues with the minimum of downtime and so that activities can be performed to produce the maximum profit for the company. Competence & Qualifications: The following are desirable, as training will be given Overhead crane operation Forklift Operation Sand blasting Rolling Packing and assembling Plasma cutting First aider Fabrication (preferred) Skills & Attributes: Excellent time management and organisation skills Good communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work in a team A fast learner Attention to detail Keen to participate Do all that is required Physical Requirements: Be able to carry out work tasks that involve physical strength, stamina, standing, kneeling or crouching. There is some lifting/moving. Key Duties: Blast and finish goods prior to despatch. Plasma profile material, clean and roll to a standard ready for welding. Produce standard components (doors, gaskets, rope, furniture) as required. Pack goods as required to a good and secure standard and ensure that packaging is clearly marked. Load and unload transport as required. Assist team leader in loading stations Store goods such that they are suitably protected in accordance with Quality Instructions Clear workshop rubbish bins daily and keep workshop clean to 5S standards. To maintain equipment and work areas to ensure a clean and safe workshop environment To perform duties in accordance with all relevant legislation in particular the Health and Safety at Work Act and apply the requirements of BS18001. To apply requirements of BS EN ISO 9001 and 14001 as appropriate within the areas of responsibility. Other duties which the company may reasonably require the individual to undertake.
