IT Security Lead

The Role:
Intaso's key client are looking for a pragmatic and proactive IT Security Lead to ensure secure and compliant IT systems throughout their organisation. This is a pivotal role within the IT team, responsible for assessing, investigating, and resolving security vulnerabilities and incidents, as well as managing remediation activities both internally and with third parties. You will own the Incident Response process, draft IT security policies and procedures, and manage the IT risk register, assigning risk ownership for internal and external stakeholders and third parties.
In this regional role, you will actively develop, review, and implement security tooling for policy enforcement and address current and emerging technology issues, including security trends, vulnerabilities, and threats. You will assist in security audits and provide recommendations to enhance the organization’s security posture based on scanning and testing results. Additionally, you will lead regular security awareness initiatives, such as phishing simulations, to promote vigilance among employees.
This role involves acting as the site IT lead for stakeholder engagement, reporting to the Senior IT Operations Director.
The Person:
* Extensive experience in IT infrastructure and security engineering with hands-on expertise.
* Background in network and application architecture, spanning diverse technology stacks, platforms, and protocols.
* Knowledge of NIS2, ISO27001, and Information Security Management Systems.
* Proven experience implementing Zero Trust methodologies.
* Familiarity with hybrid cloud/on-premise architectures and engineering solutions to meet business needs.
* Understanding of security requirements aligned with national governance standards (e.g., Data Protection Act).
* Practical exposure to various security products and platforms.
* Expertise in identifying and selecting security solutions.
* Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and efficiency skills.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
* Experience working in highly regulated environments.
