Elliptic is looking for an energetic and ambitious finance professional to help with the day-to-day finance function for this high-growth SaaS business.
This person will work closely with all finance team members to establish and oversee various accounting and financial control processes and bookkeeping. As such, this person will play a central role in a function that drives the growth of the business by continually improving the speed and integrity of management information for teams throughout the business.

Key Responsibilities
What you will do:
This person will enjoy the satisfaction of ensuring everything is precisely entered into the system via hands-on bookkeeping. As the first point of contact for the finance team, you will also be exposed to commercial finance, gaining experience in SaaS business models.
Reporting to the Finance Manager, your responsibilities will include:
* Management of account inbox & helping with queries across different teams
* Accounts receivable -
o Raising invoices (one-off, new wins, and recurring), receiving payments, sending customer statements, and responding to customer billing queries
o Navigating the CRM (Hubspot) and Contract management system (Juro)
o Ownership of the Credit Control function - automated reminders and escalations are sent weekly from Satago, but this triggers customer billing/contracting queries which require response and/or escalation to our internal customer team
* Daily monitoring of bank accounts, reconciling incomings and outgoings in Xero
* Reviewing employee expense claims in Expensify / Tipalti
* Supporting the offshore outsourced partner with
o Accounts payable - processing and timely paying of invoices
o Credit and Virtual Cards management, support, and monthly reconciliation
o Preparation of bank batch payment instructions for approval
* Assist with the production of Monthly Management Accounts
* Understanding of accruals, prepayments, and fixed assets
* Supporting and working with local accounting, payments, and corporate services providers in the US, Singapore, and Japan
* Following and adhering to established and new processes and suggesting improvements to enhance the financial control environment
* Maintain and update detailed process notes and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for key financial tasks, ensuring clarity, compliance with current policies, and alignment with team workflows
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
Requirements
As well as being energetic, trustworthy, and dependable with exceptional attention to detail, the ideal candidate will always look to improve on accepted norms and should possess the following traits:
* Finance/accounting degree
* At least 2 years working experience in a similar finance role
* Experience with the following systems (Google suite (Gmail, Google Sheets/Docs/Slides, etc.), Slack, Xero, Hubspot)
* Extensive experience with the following accounting cycles
o Accounts payable
o Accounts receivable
o Bank reconciliations
* Some exposure to preparing month-end journals (e.g., accruals, prepayments, etc.) and balance sheet
* Excellent communication and team-working skills
Bonus Points for:
* Tech sector and SaaS industry experience
* Experience working with the repeating sales invoice functionality within Xero
* Exposure to some of the following systems
o Tipalti
o Satago
o Brex
o Telleroo
o Stripe
* Experience invoicing customers on long-term contracts
