Community Mental Health Services are transforming! Would you like to be part of this exciting development?
We are looking for 1 full-time Band 3 Support Time and Recovery Worker, preferably with community experience, to join the Community Recovery Services (CRS) in Dudley North at The Poplars, Brierley Hill. The role is for 37.5 hours per week.
This is an excellent opportunity to develop your skills with support from healthcare professionals, including the Clinical Lead and Team Leader. You will work alongside Care Co-Ordinators, other Support Time and Recovery Workers, and the wider Multi-Disciplinary Team, learning their roles and practicing autonomously under guidance.
Main duties of the job
You will be a Healthcare Support Worker or in an equivalent role, ideally with community experience in assessing mental health, implementing individual plans, and measuring outcomes for adults with mental health issues. You should have current knowledge of NHS policies and practices in mental health.
You will understand the Care Programme Approach and have opportunities to develop skills in therapeutic interventions. You will work with partner agencies and be supported by Care Co-Ordinators, the Clinical Lead, and Team Leader to support service users’ care.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
You will be part of a dynamic, supportive, and diverse multidisciplinary team. Your responsibilities include supporting Care Co-Ordinators in managing the mental health needs of referred service users, developing and implementing therapeutic interventions under the Care Programme Approach, and managing caseloads of less complex and more complex service users, both in the community and at home.

Experience
* Good general education to GCSE level or equivalent
* Evidence of training and development
* Good IT skills
* NVQ level 2, working towards NVQ level 3 or equivalent
* Effective interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
* Ability to support service users with severe mental health needs and promote their recovery
* Skills to enable independence from mental health services
* Ability to engage service users and work at a pace supporting their recovery
* Practical support skills for activities of daily living
* Positive contribution and solution-focused approach to empower service users
* Experience working with partner agencies
* Proficiency in planning and facilitating group work
* Ability to plan and take responsibility for own work
* Understanding of mental health illnesses and early relapse warning signs
* Knowledge of risk assessment and management
* Understanding of clinical governance
* Ability to work independently and use initiative
