Role Overview: They are looking for a Graduate Quantity Surveyor to join our team in the role of Estimator. This role offers a structured career development plan tailored to your needs, supported by an extensive training program. You will be mentored by an experienced member of the commercial team to help you gain responsibility and progress in your role. The role will offer the opportunity to develop your skillset on a range of exciting projects across Scotland which are not traditionally available to new grads. Key Responsibilities: Assist in collating and assessing site records and data to support cost control and value recovery. Gain experience in commercial procedures and play a key role in the site delivery team. Manage and administer subcontract work packages from pre-tender to post-contract stages. Oversee subcontract payments, monitor cash flow, and manage spend profiles. Work closely with engineers and project managers to understand structures, technologies, and their commercial impacts. Develop expertise in different types of contracts and the broader aspects of Quantity Surveying and Civil Engineering. Work towards professional accreditation and Chartered Membership. Key Skills and Experience: A minimum of a 2:2 BSc (Hons) in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, Law, or Law with Business. Experience in an engineering environment (desirable). Eligibility to work and live in the UK at the time of joining. UK driver’s licence at the time of joining. Strong communication and skills to build relationships at all levels.
