Job Title: Teaching Assistant Location: North West England, Greater Manchester, Altrincham Job Type: Contract, expected to work full-time hours Primary Industry: Education and Training Salary: £90 - £100 per day (based on 6.5 hour working day) Job Duties: Supporting teachers in the delivery of educational programmes Assisting with classroom management Working with individual students or small groups to provide additional support Preparing materials and resources for lessons Supervising students during break times and outings Required Qualifications: GCSEs or equivalent qualifications in English and Maths Relevant experience working with children or young people Clear and current DBS check Education: Minimum of GCSEs or equivalent Experience: Previous experience working with children or young people in UK Knowledge and Skills: Understanding of child development and learning processes Good communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work effectively as part of a team Organisational skills and attention to detail Preferred Qualifications: Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (preferred but not essential) First Aid certification Working Conditions: The role involves working in a school environment during term time. Full-time hours are expected, with occasional additional hours for school events or outings. The role may require standing for extended periods and some light lifting of materials.
