Exciting opportunity to work at Halton People into Jobs – supporting individuals back into work, training and/or self-employment
We are looking for a committed individual who has experience of successfully engaging with employers/businesses to work within the Council’s Employment, Learning and Skills division.
You will develop and maintain effective relationships with local employers and act as a key contact for identified skills and recruitment opportunities within these businesses.
Working under the direction of one of the Service Managers, you will undertake a targeted number of business calls (telephone/virtual) to source suitable paid/unpaid employment opportunities. This will be achieved through effective employer engagement activity, job matching, and preparing individuals for interviews or assessments, including one-to-one and group workshops.
You are required to undertake accurate job matching of customers to available skills and recruitment opportunities so that successful and sustainable employment outcomes are maximised and customer and stakeholder satisfaction is achieved. This will involve desktop analysis as well as delivery of regular group workshops, which will provide more intense support for particular job and work experience vacancies.
The post will involve gaining a good understanding of the skills and abilities of the clients and the type of vacancies they are best suited to, using job matching skills to determine suitable routes, ILM’s, Supported Internships, including sector-based/bespoke opportunities. One-on-one face-to-face support and delivery of group workshops such as pre-screening sessions to clients will be required.
You will be required to maintain accurate and timely electronic (and where necessary paper-based) records of all employer engagement/sales interventions via the in-house Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system, including updating and circulating daily/weekly vacancy bulletins.
In return you will receive:
* Competitive Salary of £24,294 - £25,979 - pay award pending
* A full training and development package. You will be actively supported and encouraged to build on your skills and knowledge to maximise the opportunities that working for the Council has to offer.
* Annual leave entitlement varies according to length of service and ranges from 25 days to 33 days per year, in addition to eight bank holidays.
* Access to a generous pension scheme (Local Government Pension Scheme, administered by Cheshire Pension Fund). For full details, see cheshirepensionfund.org.uk
* A range of additional staff benefits including car lease scheme, Child Care Vouchers, and discounts at a number of local/national businesses.
* Free parking
