Job Title: Faculty Non-Tenure Track-9 Mo Physical Location: Kent Campus - Kent, Ohio Salary: Basic Function: The Department of Management within the Ambassador Crawford College of Business and Entrepreneurship at Kent State University seeks qualified candidates to apply for a visiting non-tenure-track position in management effective August 14, 2025. Additional Basic Function – if applicable: Examples of Duties: Duties/essential functions may include, but not be limited to, the following: The candidate will primarily teach courses such as international business and the undergraduate capstone course in strategic management, or other management courses (e.g. global management) as needed and depending on the qualifications of the candidate. Additional Examples of Duties – if applicable: Minimum Qualifications: Candidates must at a minimum have an earned master's degree in business or a management area (e.g., strategic management, international business). Candidates with a master’s degree must either (i) have professional experience that is current, substantial in terms of duration and level of responsibility, and clearly linked to the field of management or (ii) be all-but-dissertation (ABD) doctoral students who have passed their comprehensive or qualifying exams after May 2023. Preferred Qualifications – if applicable: An earned doctorate in business administration with a management concentration (strategic management or international business areas) or equivalent terminal degree in the strategic management or international business areas is preferred. For candidates with a doctoral degree earned prior to May 2021, evidence of recent professional activities that allow them to maintain currency in the field is required. In addition, evidence of effective teaching is preferred but not required.
