A leading manufacturing company is seeking a Technical and Design Manager to oversee the structured design process. This role requires balancing customer needs with efficient manufacturing practices to ensure high quality and cost-effectiveness. You will drive new product development, collaborate with technical sales, and contribute to continuous improvement efforts. Working closely with the Quality Assurance Manager, you will play a crucial role in operational enhancements. As a key member of the Senior Leadership Team, you will influence strategic business decisions and ensure compliance with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities
1. Lead and manage all design activities, ensuring thorough and well-documented drawings, Bills of Materials (BOMs), and compliance with industry standards.
2. Manage a small team of Design Engineers, driving productivity and KPIs.
3. Collaborate with the Quality Assurance Manager to enhance manufacturing processes and improve product quality.
4. Manage Type Approval (Conformity of Production) requirements and serve as the primary liaison with vehicle manufacturers' technical and homologation teams.
5. Drive proactive product development initiatives, working closely with technical sales, operations, and customers.
6. Oversee engineering change control processes and contribute to continuous improvement projects focused on cost reduction and quality enhancement.
Requirements:
1. Proven experience in a Management or Leadership role
2. Engineer background, with strong understanding of Design & Technical Engineering
3. Degree qualified preferred, or equivalent experience
4. Excellent communication and people skills

Salary: Competitive (dependent on experience)
Working Hours: 4.5 days - full time - flexible
