Highways Project Manager – Civil Engineering
Location: Area 7 – Midlands
Salary: Up to GBP60,000
About the Role
My client is seeking an experienced Project Manager with a strong background in civil engineering and National Highways experience. The successful candidate will oversee multiple projects, ensuring they are delivered efficiently, safely, and to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities
Manage established sites, ensuring smooth day–to–day operations.
Review health & safety documentation and ensure compliance.
Identify and resolve engineering discrepancies.
Plan and oversee all aspects of multiple projects.
Develop project schedules and monitor progress.
Conduct method statements and risk assessments.
Handle project administration, including maintaining site documentation.
Provide regular reports to senior management.
Organise and allocate resources, including labour, plant, materials, and subcontractors.
Oversee the performance of Supervisors and Foremen, ensuring high–quality work.
Requirements
HND/HNC in Civil Engineering or equivalent qualification.
CSCS Gold Card.
SSSTS or SMSTS certification (essential).
NRSWA (preferred).
Proficiency in MS Project and other project management tools.
Strong leadership and organisational skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and adapt to changing priorities.
