Join Our Dynamic Team as a Mental Health Nurse!
The Crisis Response and Home Treatment Team based at Hellesdon Hospital, Norwich are seeking ambitious Senior Registered Mental Health Nurses to join our existing team.
Our diverse team, ranging from assistant practitioners to advanced nurse practitioners, offers you the opportunity to develop your skillset while working alongside and learning from senior clinicians in a varied nursing role.
We're proactive and highly skilled at managing risk and supporting service users in Norwich, South, North, and Central Norfolk who are presenting in crisis. We are passionate about providing alternatives to hospital admissions, so you can expect to undertake rewarding, intensive work.
As a senior nurse within the team, you can expect a range of responsibilities including shift coordinator, triaging, assessments, and working in home treatment within a community setting, without solely holding a caseload.
We split the team geographically and take equal responsibility for caseloads, so you will not hold one independently. Whether you have experience gained from an acute or community setting previously, it is important to recognize acute presentations and have a good understanding of the local mental health system.
If you enjoy working with high-risk cases and are looking to develop as an autonomous, confident practitioner, then we'd love to hear from you!
Main Duties of the Job
When you join us, you can expect to be supported in building your competence in assessment. There will be a minimum of two-week local induction and a core competency framework to support you in developing your assessment skills using evidence-based practice.
We host regular reflective practice sessions, training days, and wellbeing workshops, as well as clinical and management supervision. CRHT is quality improvement-focused and has regular interfaces with a range of teams, both internally and externally, with a focus on outreach with primary care.
The shift pattern is long days, 3 per week, including night cover, with 4 days off. We can offer the opportunity to rotate if this is of particular interest.
