The Holbrook and Shotley Practice is located on the Shotley peninsular with two surgery sites.
We pride ourselves on providing a high standard of care to our 8000 patients. Our Practice team comprises of three GP Partners and one salaried GP, supported by a highly experienced team of nurses, dispensers, paramedic, clinical pharmacist and reception team.
Responsibilities:
1. Greet and check-in patients upon arrival
2. Schedule and confirm patient appointments
3. Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries
4. Maintain patient records and update information as necessary
5. Assist with administrative tasks such as filing and scanning documents
6. Coordinate referrals to other healthcare providers
7. Ensure a clean and organized reception area
Experience:
1. Previous experience working in a medical office or similar administrative role is preferred
2. Familiarity with medical terminology and procedures is a plus
3. Proficient in using electronic medical record (EMR) systems
4. Excellent communication and customer service skills
5. Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
