Your role in elevating the East Midlands The PMO Lead: Performance role is crucial for driving performance and relationship management, ensuring the Combined Authority has the systems, capabilities, and culture to deliver impact in line with its Strategic Framework. You will be central to the corporate Programme Management Office, ensuring all workstreams have clear and measurable targets and KPIs aligned to EMCCAs strategic priorities, whilst building effective relationships with stakeholders, including workstream leads, to monitor and track projects and programmes for data-driven decisions. The role requires experience with performance monitoring tools, ensuring insights are focused and accessible. It demands excellent interpersonal skills and a strategic mindset. Key responsibilities include: Providing strategic oversight to proactively manage performance across EMCCA, ensuring alignment with strategic ambitions. Developing and manage a performance framework linked to EMCCA outcomes for effective monitoring and reporting. Leading on the monitoring and reporting of EMCCA performance to the EMCCA Board, Senior Leadership team and a series of other internal and external stakeholders. Overseeing the development of performance measures and KPIs aligned with EMCCA's strategic priorities. Creating regular and bespoke performance reports/dashboards for data-driven decisions and contribute to Board reports and Corporate Business Plans. Analysing data and develop performance insights including preparing briefings for senior leaders and external stakeholders. Your profile: Educated to degree level or with significant equivalent experience in a performance related role including the development of high-quality management systems, reports and briefings. Highly motivated with strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging at senior levels and building strong relationships across all stakeholders. Experience of working in complex programmes and stakeholder environments, utilising a range of performance management tools and software, and delivering quality work at pace while managing multiple priorities. Develop innovative corporate performance dashboards which provide senior leadership, Board members and partners with live access to performance information on key priorities. Excellent numerical and analytical skills, bringing together information from a wide range of sources, ensuring data accuracy and integrity to enable data driven decisions. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner to support robust decision-making and deliver effective presentations. Desire to drive innovation and the ability to provide training and guidance to colleagues on performance management, sharing of good practice in relation to performance management methodologies, tools, and techniques.
