Human Resources Administrator at ActiveQuote Ltd | BA Hons Human Resource Management Graduate
Job Scope:
As ActiveQuote Finance Manager, you will form part of the ActiveQuote Finance function and will oversee the entire finance team, including delivering financial reporting to the wider business and the parent company, Howden.
Crucially, Active Quote is embarking on closer integration with Howden following the acquisition in August 2024, so this role will play a key part in ensuring that financial processes and data are managed throughout this transition.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Responsible for a small team of finance staff and hands-on with some tasks
2. Preparing the management accounts
3. Interpret the P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow to give insight on performance of the business
4. Quarterly VAT reporting and other FCA reporting requirements
5. Prepare statutory accounts for the year end
6. Prepare and process Payroll & manage bonus schemes
7. To constantly display and encourage ActiveQuote company values of INTEGRITY, UNITY, INNOVATION and PASSION
This is a 12 month Fixed Term Contract due to the nature of the planned integration, however Howden is a large multinational organisation with strong and ambitious growth plans so this is a fantastic opportunity to become a part of the business at a very exciting time.
Skills & Education:
1. Ability to communicate technical ideas to non-financial staff
2. Prepare statutory accounts for the year end
3. SME or Financial Services Experience
4. Experience with controlling income, cash flow and expenditure
5. Experience with producing long-term business plans
6. Experience of Group reporting and controls

Normal business hours are between 9am - 8pm Mon-Thurs, 9am – 5.30pm Friday, 10am - 2pm Sat.
